My summary of navratri..... Raj Chavda had put a status on Facebook few months back saying that he required a keyboard player.... For the past 10years is been going under suchak events banner.... This year for the first time I wanted to do free lance because I just wanted a stress free, and simplified navratri. And my friend Nisha Madhani and one of my favourite singers/artists had informed me way in advance that during Navrati shed be 8 months pregnant and wud naturally not have the energy to carry out performing for 9nights. I inboxed raj and said look I sing and play keys... Etc etc and without any hesitation ..,. He said him and damini wud luv to work with me. When we discussed the formalities, we met up and clicked within a 45min rehearsal. Him and damini both let me take lead and also appreciated my input, which was nice of them. Then we rehearsed rehearsed and rehearsed and uploaded Garba jams and So many people liked and commented. The likes of friends like Anish Stark, Krupaa Purohit, and so many others. It was pleasing. MY disappointment was there were a few close friends and fb friends who I wished were there to witness our live performances wer not there. They chose other venues, as we wer at a simpler community venue...... Really sad that is.... But thats people I guess...... I use to come back, use to watch other groups, Pratikshaben, Sajanben, and it was so pleasing to see everyone rock and enjoy..... Internally made me smile. The Zurich booking still feels like a dream.... We just had full control... For 4 artists to rock a crowd of 500 for 5 hrs is simply magic..... Im making a formal announcement now to say I wish to do a large charity Garba show with so many artists involved..,.. There will be no budget but just unity and it wud be really nice to give something back to the community...... Hope I get the support.... Thank you to all those who made our 2014 navratri the most rocking one. 10nights in a row was hard work.... 2 mor sharad poonam is going to be a treat at arya....hope to see you there:... Saving me from a nervous breakdown ... Thank you all..... Plenty of luv for you all xx
