My sweet daughter, Kristy got sentenced for 1-7 yrs today in state prison. When I seen the tears rolling down her face, I felt that it was my job as her mother to try to stand up for her,but when I asked, May I please speak your honor? the judge said, no, get her outta my courtroom then proceeded with saying, youre the cause for all of this and finally bringing up my priors and throwing them in my face as they escorted my daughter out of the courtroom and back to county jail.... Hows my past convictions reflect on my daughters case when I did my time and no longer on paper?? That had nothing to do with her case at all! I feel this system may be to serve, but definately n ot to protect! The judge may as well spit in my face, and gave me a good hard slap across my face today! I worked very hard to get to where I am today and I felt as if he was squashing my recovery! My therapist tells me not to blame myself, while the judge tells me that its all my fault!!! WTF!!??
