My sweet furry grand dog has gone to join Angie and my heart - TopicsExpress

My sweet furry grand dog has gone to join Angie and my heart grieves with my son-in-law David Galbraith for yet another empty space in his life. Oz was special because Angie refused to have a dog in the house for decades because a dog bit her in the face when she was really young. Her love of David however finally triumphed and one Christmas she called us all to say she was getting Dave a golden retriever that year. She swore us all to secrecy, so we were all bursting with anticipation Christmas morning. When that adorable ball of love called Oz came wheeling into the room and David had to wipe away tars of joy, I thought wed all die of sharing all that love. Ironically, Angie bonded with Oz and soon loved him as much as David did. As she lie dying, loyal Oz stood vigil in the window by her bed with the saddest look in his eyes. We all loved that big guy so much. I cant image the household with him. The greatest present ever has gone, but the love that went into his being chosen and into his life will live in this familys hearts forever--BYE, OZ. Oh wonderful dog!
