My take on Deflategate: 1. Officials inspect balls before game. Did officials just feel the balls and say Yup good to go or were pressures actually checked? I think the cursory check scenario is the most likely culprit here, and if ti is true then the entire blame lies on the officials. 2.Were any of the Colts balls checked post game to see if theyre under inflated as well? If not then the entire blame lies on the Officials and the NFL. 3. The balls are handled ****EVERY FRICKIN PLAY BY AN OFFICIAL**** you mean to tell me they noticed nothing? Blame: Officials 4. What kind of gauge was used to check pressure? Was this an official weights and measures checked and approved gauge that allows some air to be leaked for pressure check but has a relief valve that allows no more air to leak once the needle is removed? Or was it a cheap tire gauge only accurate to within 3-4 PSI. bought at your local Pep Boys? Believe me, you can check a tire with 5 different gauges and get 5 different readings all within a 10#PSI range! Unless you are using a very specific low pressure gauge then the readings can be suspect. 5. If, IF mind you, the Patriots took their footballs and lowered the pressure on the sidelines *AFTER* they had been checked by the officials (highly unlikely) then they should be fined and lose a draft pick. What really amazes me most;; Most people try to cheat on their taxes. The cheating rate in marriages is super high in this country. People cheat on credit apps, on job apps, they falsify their resumes and get jobs over others more qualified. People cheat on the roads, they put lives at risk to save ten seconds while ignoring traffic laws. People cheat in school, cheating is everywhere and by everybody. How many of you lied about your income on your Obamacare application to get cheaper health insurance. How many lied about your daily mileage to get cheaper car insurance rates? But when it comes to football all of the sudden all these cheaters have such DELICATE SENSIBILITIES that they cant stomach the Patriots cheating. But if you think for a second that every NFL team doesnt have players on illegal substances youre lying to yourself. The NFL has the resources but refuses to allocate enough to catch them all and thats in every sport. I dont watch football for the Ethics, Integrity, or Morals of it. You want Integrity, dont be a scumbag and stop trying to cheat on your spouse, drive the speed limit, dont cheat on your taxes, and they you can have all the integrity you can handle If you are watching Sports for the Integrity of the game, or you think it means anything to any team to play by the rules then you are as NAIVE as they come. You shouldnt be watching sports cause you will always wind up disappointed.
