My take on Guardians of the Galaxy This movie was a stellar example of how to treat the characters and still make the movie audience understand the mythos of the comics. Speaking from the perspective of someone who does know all the backstory of these characters I was pleasantly surprised with their development. The opening scene was a gut-wrenching tear jerker. The script and director do an excellent job of making you feel empathy and sympathy for all the characters. The effects, action and pacing were bar none the best Ive seen in a while. It reminded me of the first time seeing Star Wars as a child. It awakened my dormant imagination and made me feel like a kid again. Just spectacular.
