My take on the Gems shepards pie :) Ingredients 500grams lean mince 3-4 sheets puff pastry Half bag potato gems Salt and pepper Teaspoon minced Garlic 1/4 cup whoster sauce Cup flour 1/2 litre beef stock 2 small carrots grated 1 big stalk celery grated 1 bug onion grated 1/2 cup grated light cheese I egg for eggwash Method Brown mince, add garlic and onion and mix through Add salt and pepper to taste Add vegies, stock then flour and boil till reduced. Line sc with baking paper (sling) Add sheets of pastry, egg wash the outside, around tbe sc making sure there is a base and an overhang for top Poor filling in sc Push gems through the meat and make sure covered Layer the top with potato gems then sprinkle with cheese. Close top with pastry overhang and egg wash top Cook on low for 2hrs then high for 2hrs or until crispy. T-Towel over lid Optional: At end I added cheese on top and under grill on high 2 mins
