My take on the Picnic: I want to thank each and every one who attended the picnic. It’s a great pleasure of mine to organize, coordinate and deploy this event. However, it’s not possible to accomplish such a monumental task single handedly without help. There are so many volunteers who assisted in the process and I want to express my thanks and gratitude to them. There are so many to name, but you know who you are. One of the highlight of this gathering is the DJ’s music. It seems to set the tone of the party. People flock around it like the pied piper. There may be some jittery feelings at first, but a few sip of wine or beer helps settle that. You get on person to sing or dance then you have the whole crowd to join in. What a sight! What a feeling! The weather was warm and sunny and not imposing. Our menu was wide and varied. The lechon was stripped of its pride and consumed. We gave the piranhas a run for their money. It didn’t last long! It was gone in a blink of an eye. The other dishes such as bicol express, adobo, jambalaya, beef briskets, beef taco dip, fish and countless entrees along with fruit salads, desserts and many other delicacies vaporized in the mist. We didn’t run out of food, we ran out of paper plates. However, Filipinos have a knack for being creative. What they ended doing is putting leftovers on plastic bags. Hey, you do what you can! Let us welcome Benny and The Jet to our family. He has taken time off from work to spin the disc for our entertainment. I hope this is a partnership for many more events, so please give him a little love and show your appreciation. I’m sure he’s grateful for the gratuity he received. In closing, it was wonderful to see you all. I can’t wait for the next gathering and celebration. Let me know any thoughts of feedback on the next upcoming event. I was thinking the next gathering would be at a ranch. We would rent it and have the food catered. This way you don’t have to think of anything to bring. It’s already there for you. Just a thought!
