My teenage step-daughter has been complaining that I am always on her case with making sure homework is done and room is clean etc... I personally call it being a good parent!! She ended up calling her mother tattle telling and then of course Dad had to get involved. She was giving the choice of my involvement as an All or Nothing deal. She chose nothing!! Hurts my heart because I truly treat her as one of my own!! I treat her as I would my own daughter at that age. I almost want to truly show her what nothing is, so she can understand what she will miss out on.... any thoughts and opinions?
