My thought for today: What if I suggested there is no privacy? No - TopicsExpress

My thought for today: What if I suggested there is no privacy? No one can own self, or the other, or the products of the earth? No person has the “right” to privacy, to hide, to be alone, to pretend to be other. What if I suggest that individuality is not singular, but collective? Could it be that we are all sick because of our psychotic construction and maintenance of the personal, of privacy, of keeping secrets--that element we call our “I?” Maybe we are not “I,” but individually-collective “we’s?” How would one live a life totally public without privacy, without secrets, without ownership, without personal claim, the claim to “my” privacy against your privacy? Maybe a qualitative and collective approach needs to replaces a quantitative and personal one?
