My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the officers that have been murdered in the line of duty....RIP brothers...as a officer myself I know the chance is there, but I believe in my job to protect the people from danger...without a second thought I will give my life to protect yours....so for you that bash and hate cops and say that cops are out to kill and harass people, try putting yourself in their shoes....try making a split second decision multiple times a day in a high stress situation knowing everyone will judge you for the way they heard about it not by the facts of the situation, then try and catch the last little bit of your kids basketball game but you end up missing it anyway cause another call came out 10 min before your shift ends.....then by the time you get home everyone is in bed....you get cussed at, spit on, made out to be a bad guy to everyone in the community including the kids and yet we still have to put on a smile and protect the community....you catch a bad guy and spend hours on a report only for the guy to get a slap on the wrist and released back out on the streets....we are the guys that see people in their worst times 90% of the time....we our the pigs that you hate for writing you a DWI, but you ask where we were when your child or relative was killed by a drunk driver.... we fight a unending battle day after day...while trying to make it on a officers salary....Im not complaining cause yes I chose this career and wouldnt trade it for anything else......if you dont like this post....you prolly should delete me....sorry for the rant just really hurt for all the families that have been affected by all the hatred towards officers
