My thoughts on Zimmerman: as a defendant, his fault was - TopicsExpress

My thoughts on Zimmerman: as a defendant, his fault was subjective, but without specific intent. His freedom is clearly based on the "Imperfect" form of self defense, In other words the crime he committed occurred when the force he used was with the purpose of injuring or killing the victim in the MISTAKEN BELIEF that the use of force was necessary to defend himself! No mens rea here...his act did not make him guilty as there was the lack of culpability. Reckless? perhaps! You know...even a dog can distinguish between being stumbled over..... or being kicked! In our justice system (such as it is) Zimmerman is a free man. The United States Constitution holds....{N}or shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb.... Amendment V...Let it go!!!!!!!! The jury could not find him guilty BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. Not one of them could go there!!!! Not one!!!!!! CLEAR, CONCISE, CUT AND DRY DECISION..... NOT ONE REASONABLE DOUBT! ALL AGREED!
