My tiel Emma laid an egg!!! She is 13 and started forming this egg probably Wednesday sometime and late Thursday she was obviously attempting to lay this egg. By Friday morning, no egg, so I took her to Dr O who did an xray and the egg was way up in her abdomen area. Apparently she was too overweight to push it down. I was sent home with meds, one being pain meds, instructions to give her a nesty box, keep her in warm, humid environment and get her to lay this egg. If not laid by Monday, she had to go back for removal. I have been worried sick and too worried to talk about it. Shes been pushing and pushing, on and off for two days and finally, here it is! She is exhausted, but must be so relieved. She had always been a chronic egg layer and finally slowed down to one egg a year in the last couple years. We finally put on relaxing music, turned off the t.vs and that did the trick. I also prayed a lot and just begged God 5 minutes before it happened. Now We can both relax........sigh
