My top ten albums for a Prog magazine poll are (possibly, but its so difficult to choose!!!): 1. Mike Oldfield—Tubular Bells. King Crimson—In The Court Of The Crimson King. Strangely, despite trying, I’ve never liked any KC I’ve heard apart from this. Twelfth Night—Live And Let Live. The neo-prog band that never made it. Geoff Mann was such a great lyricist and some songs like We Are Sane still make the hairs stand up on end. Pink Floyd—Meddle. “Echoes” is masterful the way it builds from the “sonar” pings to the spacey sections and guitar in the middle and then finishes like you’re recovering from a climax.
