My trip to the Big Woods in Arkansas is nearing. In early March I cannot wait to see that great river swamp and all its beauty. My camera will be with me. I hope to see an Ivory Billed Woodpecker and capture a good shot of it. Dreaming I know but I have been fascinated by the Lord God Bird since I was a kid. So sad how their habitat was destroyed in the late 1800s and drove them to the brink. I so hope a few pairs hang on in the last wild places left in the South.
