My two cents worth: This election, it is Shale Gas that we have to decide on. Whether it be Blue, Red, Orange, Green or Purple that wins, this will be the item of interest post election. I truly believe that if the Liberal Party is to win the election, that Shale Gas will likely move forward. Whether it be my other means of extraction or Fracking, it will be implemented and moved forward on. The PC party is banking on all NBers believing that the Liberals will not move forward on Shale Gas and is using it as a way to win the election with their millions of dollars, they say, will come our way if elected. As with any other BIG election item, that promises debt recovery, the moneys generated from this will likely fall in the hands of the large companies who are already flourishing in the energy sector to begin with. Will NBers see any of this in the form of tax reduction, HST reduction, etc? I strongly doubt it. As for the high skilled, high paying jobs being promised, that will Bring our people home from out west, yeah that may happen, but who really can predict this. I believe the majority of people living in NB and working out west are not of this high skilled qualification and will not find work in this industry at home anyway. Plus what is wrong with living here and working out west. The moneys earned out there are spent in NB, taxes are paid in NB....not sure I see the issue here. I really dont know which way to vote, but I must encourage all NBers to take the time to decide what they really want and make the decision they feel is best for themselves and others. Make sure you vote. If you dont, you dont have the right to complain!! nbfrackingresearch/
