My two favorite moments from our trip...#1. When the Guatemalan Guide pointed out a dead tarantula and He looked at me in horror as I picked it up to show him the size of the fangs and let him know that in fact it was just a shedding from the spider. Rick assured him that this behavior was perfectly normal from his wife. #2. First night in Gautamala rainforest and being woken up by the attached noise. I stood In the dark listening to it on the porch of the cabin in the dark. If I didnt have the natural history background to know it was howler monkeys I am pretty sure I would have thought it was something from Jurassic Park. I giggled the next day when we were in the jungle and a guy looked at me alarmed and asked me what the hell that noise was. I so wanted to answer Velociraptors
