My two greatest passions are Islam and Storytelling. I have decided to focus on using my storytelling to build bridges between the Muslim world and non Muslim world, to mitigate misunderstanding, break down stereotypes and dilute xenophobia between the two worlds, without propaganda. Propaganda is showing one side with the exclusion of the other side. I refuse to ever create propaganda. My stories will always show both sides. My larger objective is to create highly original, entertaining, audience engaging character driven social conscience stories about marginalised individuals, irrespective of their faith (beyond intolerance and bigotry) that are box office blockbusters. My short and sweet theatre play, Humptie de Umptie that explores mental illness through nursery rhyme characters is indicative of my storytelling. 10% of whatever I earn will be channeled towards creating a scholarship for children with disabilities.
