My undergraduate journey has come to an end but before I say it’s over, there are quite a few people I must thank first. Starting with my parents Ricardo A. Sarmiento & Marlene De Abreu who have given their lives these past 4 years to allow me the opportunity to attend SCAD. I don’t have the words to say how much I love you both. Thank you. All the amazing line of professors that I’ve had the pleasure of working with starting with the two individuals who taught me the basics to get here in the first place Ernesto Montes & Julie Orsini Shakher. All the illustration professors: Mohamed Danawi for your amazing Intro class where I cried my way through an then became your favorite in poster design. You rock. Ryan Sanchez thank you for teaching the importance of presentation + process folder. I could have not asked for a better Mat & Tech 1 professor! Kurt Vargo Because nobody teaches Advertising or Self-Promo better than you. Thank you for always being there and believing in me. Julie S Lieberman thank you for allowing me to venture with the obsessive Johnny Depp book and always giving me an honest opinion about everything. You are amazing. Linda Warner Constantino My watercolor idol. Thank you for helping with put together my final illustrations, without you there is no-portfolio! & John Foerster the electronic illustration genius who has given me unconditional support with every decision I’ve made regarding my career. I love you all so so much. To my Arts Administration professors Patrick & Chance best decision ever was signing up for my Management minor. My dear professor John Rise and his wife Karen, amazing friends and mentors. Thank you. To my sister and roommate Julie White, we did it J. I love you & thank you for waking me up countless times not to miss class! To all the people that I’ve met throughout these 4 years, some were only for a class, others kept in contact and a few are friendships that I will cherish for a lifetime. Finally, to all my fellow classmates graduating with me this Saturday congratulations to us & I am honored to walk with a group of exceptionally talented individuals! xx, A.
