My understanding because of the teaching I received makes me wonder and question the Declaration of Partnership is this is just another way to fool Anishinabe into believing governments want to sit down with people; to really look at what went wrong... Everyone already knows what went wrong and even whats wrong today.......the planet, Mother Earth, is being destroyed fast byway of mining, logging, dams, fracking, pollutions. No agreement works, which ever kind it is because you have to give up something in the end. Also; The Seventh Prophet was younger than the others who had come and there was a glowing light from his eyes. He said that there would come a time when the waters had been so poisoned that the animals and plants that lived there would fall sick and begin to die. Much of the forests and prairies would be gone so the air would begin to lose the power of life.... It is at this time that the light skinned race will be given a choice between two roads. If they choose the right road, then the seventh fire will light the eighth and final fire, an eternal fire of peace, love, brotherhood and sisterhood. If the light skinned race make the wrong choice of roads, then the destruction they brought with them in coming to this country will come back to them and cause much suffering and death to all the Earths people. The choose of which road to take is not only for the light skinned race, its for all mankind who left their ancestral way of life; to the anishinabe, they have to chose between the canoe or the vessel. In the Declaration of the New Partnership, they talk about equal rights to education, housing, and economy, resource sharing, which I understand means revenue sharing. So why now, what makes now, this agreement different than those of treaties signed, the ones the government never honoured.... Whats unique in this agreement? Is it because theres actions to protect land, from all indigenous people who understand land, trees, water, animals need protecting? Or is it to trick the native people into selling the resources to government instead of the government forcefully taking resources??? I for one wont be fooled by anymore agreement.... No matter how good it sounds....
