My understanding of that Hobby Lobby decision is that companies - TopicsExpress

My understanding of that Hobby Lobby decision is that companies run privately by families, will not be required to provide to their workers that which runs contrary to their Christian beliefs. I am skeptical about this decision, in at least the following ways: one is, that I am not sure it applies as universally as I am describing it. It might just refer to birth control pills and devices, and nothing else. But even if that is not the case, while such decisions are just fine when they involve Christians, what happens when it involves other religions? Perhaps Jewish values would be honored as well, but what happens when moslems demand similar rights? See, I think that it should be made clear that religious liberty should apply only to Christians and Jews. But since that will never happen, this Hobby Lobby court decision can lead to some trouble.
