My vent alarm beeped almost non stop for the second night in a row..... Me without sleep brings out the less than desirable me...my trach no lie sticks out almost past my entire chest.....my coffee is ice cold and I cant have milk with it because its a non dairy day here. I woke up with tears of joy anyway...Tears because in spite of no sleep, a knowledge that i am about to face a 14 hour surgery in 13 days...our family prayers and my desires my true desires were answered, I wanted a chance......I dont know why I have found such favor in Boston since day one, why I have bonded with the people so much, why the chief of pulmonary sits and talks to me for an hour at a time about life, medicine, why the nurse are gracious to me, why the respiratory therapist trust me enough to share some hard things they have been through....,I dont know why God saw fit that I would have two friends that were online friends and now in person friends be so close to me that they visit me...and I LOVE their company..so instead of being pissy about no milk for my coffee ..no sleep, no ability to go outside, or the fact my new trAch sucks and I cant breathe at all off the vent with it...I am praising God for every blessing including getting to FaceTime with my dog ..ummm I mean my mom last night...... 13 days until surgery and we are all working hard to cover every base to make sure I am ready!!!!!!! Thank you all for being in this journey with me, its scary, wonderful, amazing, breath taking (literally ) humbling and each one of you for all over the country is in my heart... We did it...
