My vet told me this past week that I should make sure to separate my sister pups periodically to they wont have separation anxiety from each other. He told me to just take them out to give them individual attention periodically. They had not been separated over 5 minutes since birth. This is going to be difficult as separation will seem like punishment. Ive tried to take one out to play alone but that leaves the other alone... and they dont understand. I can hear the one left inside... crying. I need to separate them some at night too... which gets me to my question. For those of you who have 2 or more litter mates less than 6 months old... how do they sleep? ONE crate, does each have their own crate? Mine both sleep in one crate. I bought a bigger one to accommodate 2 pups. I dont want to bring them into my bed until they have had time to learn to soothe themselves, build some confidence at night, and get fully potty trained.
