My views change as data changes. In 2000-2005, I would have been confident that acute steroid usage with adequate time off should be quite manageable - after all, steroids had been used in this fashion for 60+ years by that point, so I had good reason to think that. Had you asked me about massive steroid/GH/diuretic/opiate abuse, I would have said we would need to wait 5-10 years to see where the chemical era bodybuilders of the 1990s ended up before drawing a conclusion.
