My vision of Messick Pt.....what could be !....just picture in your mind...as you get to the hill coming down Messick...a replica of a generic Chesapeake Bay Deadrise Workboat with a nice sign saying Welcome to Watermans Park...the most beautiful property the City owns ....on the river side where the land tapers down.... a huge pole building stretching across the landscape with a stage for evening concerts, plays, special events, sunrise service etc.....from Cove Rd. to Messick Rd. a beach all down the shoreline...a nice restaurant to accommodate the folks, locals & tourists...across the road by the water a small stage to be used by the public for private parties as well as City functions...a breakwater around the pier to make it usable....boat rentals etc....provide the waterman a Seafood Market Area to be used and maintained by them....I could continue but you get the Point ! no pun intended LOL .....this has be a thought of mine for many yrs. perhaps someday it will be the politically correct persons idea LOL well see....
