My wife and I have been blessed to have always been civilians of the USA.. She and I have four boys after being married for 24 yrs.Our oldest son Jonathan Daniel Moore was in college classes and had a full time job in town and come home one day and said I am going to be a United States Marine. I a civilian tried everything to change his mind or at least branch of military. After weeks of him training to qualify and once he had a date with Parris Island It set in, I knew my son had been raised by civilians... I never doubted the way we raised our son until then. I really worried because I was raised by civilians and doubted the way I had been as a father. I warned my son of this before he left for Parris Island.Son I need to tell you that I have always been a civilian and have raised you the only way I know how there will be a difference because I dont have a military back round and once you have been in the military I dont want you to look back on me and the way I done things because I didnt know any better and how could I. Our son has been in over 2 yrs now and Today I read a status: Zachary Ellis is why I am posting this so if you just so happen to be like my son all I ask is dont forget where you come from and always remember us civilians love our men and women of the military and would do anything for any of you all you have to do is ask. Thanks for your service god bless each and everyone of the men and women who serve ,have served ,and will serve our country. Civilian Father, Dan Moore
