My wife and I, leading two separate lives, completely oblivious to eachother, prayed the same prayer asking God to find us a help mate. God put us together! Ours was love at first sight, solidified after we prayed the same prayer. We new God brought us together from across the ocean to meet in Germany - her, from Paraguay, & me from the USA. Were married almost 22 years now! My wife was Catholic & I was an apostate Christian! Ages are almost 10 years apart. Our creator, God - who sent His Son; dying, was buried & is risen - is in control. He is present with us now! His Holy Spirit guides us when we seek Him in His Word with all of our heart! It is our choice to receive His gift of salvation. Without knowledge of His Word, there can be neither Godly understanding nor wisdom. Neither anything we say outside of Gods Word nor anything we preach can change ones mind, however, through His Holy Spirit, His Word can transform us! Yes, I was an apostate Christian praying to God! Even though I believed satans lies, I thought I was a true christian! Through events in my life at that time, God drew me near to Him, changed my heart so I would turn back to Him, repent and rejoice in His gift of salvation! I tell you the truth, if you dont have Gods spirit in you, you cant understand. You must seek Him in His Word with all of your heart!
