My wife and I will be travelling to Accra this Christmas. By Gods - TopicsExpress

My wife and I will be travelling to Accra this Christmas. By Gods grace we both have cars, but she is insisting we go to Accra without any of them. So we were talking about it yesternight and I told her Ah, so me paa I would dress in my suit and sit in a trotro, whilst there are two cars sitting at home? After talking to her, The Holy Spirit told me Masa, what are u talking about? what do you think the Master (Jesus Christ) would do if He was in your situation? He would probably even walk, not to talk about sitting in a trotro. Are you better than the people who sit in a trotro? Then The Holy Spirit drew my attention to Philippians 2:3 which says Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. I was dumbfounded and really thought about this deep into the night, then I prayed about it and asked for forgiveness. Indeed, we are not the least better than anybody, its just by grace that we are where we are. We could easily have been others and them be us. Its these kinds of thinking that develop into pride and arrogance which is very dangerous to us Christians. I remember a preacher once said Pride is the root of all sin, because it was pride that made satan rebel against God in the first place. Lets continually humble ourselves to Christ and let Him keep us grounded in Him. Good morning.
