My wife has been reading Rebuilt, and last night was moved to read aloud below, as it so accurately describes the drama many of us Catholic leaders have been living. Youll never be criticized or censured for NOT doing evangelization. On the other hand, whenever you DO introduce it, you introduce CHANGE, and when you introduce CHANGE people invested in the status quo will always COMPLAIN. When you change anything in CHURCHWORLD, CRITICISM, COMPLAINT, and CONFLICT will usually follow in a FORCEFUL, EMOTIONALLY DRIVEN WAY. And if you start CHALLENGING churchpeople and seeking LOST PEOPLE, there will be BLOOD. - Fr. Michael Corcoran and Tom White, Rebuilt, p. 52 So what/ We keep moving anyways, motivated not by expectation of comfort, but with the heart of the Comforter. Were moved with great expectation of His Presence and Love newly awakened and alive in their hearts. This parish added 700 new members last year. United with a multitude of pastors and leaders here, were about to take our next step in faith. We invite you even now, so called and equipped to be a missionary disciple (Pope Francis), to join us. Lets continue praying and fasting for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Stay tuned.
