My wife has just popped into my study and asked what I was doing. - TopicsExpress

My wife has just popped into my study and asked what I was doing. I told her I was catching up with what had sadly happened to Steve Reed after a busy day in the parish. She said something about our year group and all those who have died. It is a high percentage given our age and what she said got me thinking. I knew Steve a little - not as well as many of you did - but he was a lad from a school and from a group of people who shaped my life. Dyke House in the late 80s was a difficult place to be sometimes. But it shaped us and helped us grow into the people we are despite that. And that, for me, is why we were able to do not one but two reunions inside a year. We all share a bond which doesnt diminish over time or distance and I really hope that one day we can get together again to celebrate all that made us. And maybe we can do that to raise money for Cancer Research or Macmillan Nurses. Its not everyones thing, I know, but I will be praying for Nichola and the family at church this week and that Steve rests in peace. God bless you all x
