My wife just found out about Bitcoin. Everyone should know about Bitcoin. It will help you understand how money is created and how it works. Ill save you the trouble and make it as simple as possible if you prefer 1) Central banks create money out of thin air 2) they issue said money as debt, a note which must be paid with interest. 3) it only has value because you are willing to exchange your labor or goods for it. After all, its just a piece of paper (or some electrons in a computer) Bitcoin is just an alternative currency (money) that is not issued by a country.
