My wife recently explained to me during casual household conversation how an ugly man becomes an attractive man in moments. Ive never personally experienced the dilemma of ugly men and found the conversation intriguing. For instance, did you know that confidence and assurance in ones own self can actually trump an ugly face? Fascinating.. This means ugly can be good looking and good looking can be ugly. For men, who for the most part are visual creatures, this is hard to wrap your head around. But for women, this makes perfect sense. Women are emotional, men are visual. I have spent the better part of my life as a privileged handsome man with little need to know such nonsense. Surely the Denzel Washingtons out there never give this a second thought. However, as we grow, we learn. I have learned to listen and not sit still and wait until they run out of breath from talking. Now I am seldom accused of not having heard a word that was said.. Men, instead of just pretending to listen, hoping the pants will fall off on their own, show real interest. Women, say whats on your mind and dont leave it up to the man to guess whats there. Most men will simply assume youre just empty space...
