My wife was openly threatened at her work today by a customer that accused her of racism in front of everyone in the store, called down the store manager, made them call corporate to complain, and wants to sue my wife and the retailer she works for... after my wife explained to her privately why bras fit a little differently between people of differing skin pigments as they age and how that can affect how a woman chooses which bras a woman needs to buy over time based on their specific need. For anyone with a question about what is or is not racism... Racism is defined by Oxford Dictionary as 1 - The belief that all members of of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior, or superior to, another race or races. 1.1 - Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that ones own race is superior. Prejudice is defined by OD as 1 - A preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. 1.1 - Dislike, hostility, or unjust behavior deriving from preconceived and unfounded opinions, as in accusations of racial prejudice. (...That last part is also the official definition. I didnt make any of this up.) So, a prejudiced woman wants to sue everyone she doesnt like on the grounds that everyone that tried to help her resolve her specific personal issue was being racist for being more experienced with the solution than anyone else has ever been in her entire life. Nice, huh?
