My wonderful, free spirited, Anna Christine. I love you too, and you have a special place in my heart; always will. I know you made a change to the Muslin faith a few years ago. I respect your choice and the comments posted. We will have to agree to disagree about America being in a religious battle; and that the word Islam means peace. Islam does not represent peace. The root word for Islam is “al-Silm,” which means “submission” or “surrender.” Submission and peace can be very different concepts, even if the desire of peace is brought about through forcing others into submission. (Jihad law) It’s nice in theory, but what is happening abroad screams, “Jihad Law Rules.” Recanting on my previous statements is unlikely. We all would love to lay claim that ‘our’ religion is a peaceful. If we go back to the history books; there is nothing in religious history that is peaceful. Quran not only calls Muslims to submit to Allah, it also commands them to subdue people of other religions until they are in a full state of submission to Islamic rule. I don’t see that as peaceful; and what we are witnessing around the world attests to that fact. The Myth: Mohammed was a peaceful man. In reading the most authoritative Conditions of Omar, you will find that peace is a purely an academic term. In the real Islamic world, not the one you experience here in your US community, differ greatly from the Islamic teachings; the teachings that the infidels (that would be those of Christian faith) must submit themselves and pay tribute Islamic law. Many live in a fairy tale world of the Islamic faith. They have yet to understand Islam’s dirty little secret of utter intolerance and persecutions of Christians, or that Islam is a radical religious tyranny driven to murder Christians and their churches abroad. It’s time to look past the mainstream media and seek the truth. The book ‘Crucified Again’ is a great start to exposing the persecution of Christians abroad. America needs to wake up. The so-called “peaceful” religion of Islam doesn’t talk about Islamic supremacist theology and law that justify violence against infidels, apostates, and proselytes. Many, who claim a title to the Muslin faith, have never read the Koran. They do not understand the religious beliefs and portray their religion as non-violent. They are what I call “apologists”. Those who embrace the Islam faith based on what they want non-muslins to believe; or ignorance of a faith they do not understand. Enough said.
