My words of wisdom for today….. DON’T WELD WITHOUT A HELMET ON!!!! Last Wednesday about 4 in the afternoon, I was doing some welding outside and my helmet was in Old Forge… figured I wouldnt look at the arc and just turn my head a bit…. Well I got up for work at midnight and just thought I had a piece of dirt in my eye… was a bit blurry but I left anyway…. I got about 6 miles down the road, just pass the Nanticoke exit on 29 and had to pull over… I couldnt even open my eye anymore and the pain was incredible… I called Diann for a ride and for the next 2 days had almost no vision at all from my only good eye… well it’s 5 days later and I still can’t focus distance and have blurry vision…. All I can say is I think I get dumber as I get older instead of smarter….. I’m going to make eye apt this week with the Dr and hope this is a temporary condition…
