My younger brother, Ochuko, just reminded me how difficult is - TopicsExpress

My younger brother, Ochuko, just reminded me how difficult is the government of President Jonathan. He drew my attention to the challenges facing the government, stating that this government is the most unsupported and that without support of ordinary Nigerians the government cannot work. This issue has been raised severally; so, I thought it best not to make my response private. Where Ill like to begin is to ask one important question lest we forget so soon. How did Jonathan transit from Vice President to Acting President and then to President? Who were those that rose against the cabal, the likes of Michael Aondoakaa, who were determined to deny Goodluck Jonathan the presidency? Who were those that marched on the streets and occupied Nigeria till the back of the cabal was broken? In case we have forgot so soon, they are the same people, including the son of man, who have become the fiercest critics of Goodluck Jonathan. What happened? What really happened? The people never left Jonathan; Jonathan was the one who left the people, who threw the people under the bus, and who became even worse than the cabal that the people stood up against. Jonathan decided to take sides with unprecedented corruption and boldface impunity. Of recent, he has become much bolder in a bad sense and he now answers with abandon. Truly, he doesnt give a damn. He has become more dismissive and manifestly arrogant in his support of bad governance and cases of corruption in his government. It is not in old age that people learn how to use their left hand; otherwise, I would have added that if President Jonathan returns to the people to do the peoples business as it should be done the people will stand up for him. Experience has taught me, however, that the surest way to tell whether a man will fail in the future is to examine his record of present and past failures. Needless to say, he has exhibited woeful hollowness and complete lack of vision in 101% of his policies and programs. Let me not mention the unchecked embarrassment we see on the sidelines from Dame Patience Jonathan, who has failed to see that she is not Mrs. President - CHOICE EKPEKUREDE
