My zine PUNK IN MY SOUP just got a MRR review. Couple of pics of it below. Its £1.50 plus postage, email micahjensen (at) yahoo for more info... Thanks! This mostly consists of music reviews with one zine review and a brief intro statement. The reviews are really insightful and you get a good sense of the authors personality and eccentricities throughout this zine. The reviews cover a wide range of musical stylings from current NYHC act Creep to post punk acts like No Sir, I Wont and post rock bands Im not too familiar with, but will check out thanks to this zine. The problem with a first review of an all review zine is that you cant really compare your tastes to the reviewers, but everything is well written so even if you dont agree with the musical tastes, read it anyway. I also thought the yellow paper and blue-ish green ink would kill my eyes while reading it, but it wasnt really a problem and the zine looks sick. There is a segment at the end where the zine goes into why they didnt review a bands release because of possible sketchy Nazi content, but in explaining why they werent reviewing it they basically reviewed the whole thing. Sometimes silence says a lot more than lengthy explanations. Anyway Im excited to read some more reviews from future editions of this zine. (Kyle Canyon)
