Myanmar to open first ever university preparation program Published on Tuesday, 09 July 2013 18:28 Myanmar’s Crown Education Centre has signed an agreement on July 5 with ACT Education Solution Ltd. based in the United States to open the first ever International University Preparation Program in Yangon. An official from ACT Education Solution Ltd. said that they have contacted universities in Austria, Canada, Singapore, United Kingdom and the US to participate. The program provides students with academic knowledge skills and prepares them for the internationally recognized IELTS or TOFEL exams. “We will give credit and exam marks for submission to international universities after conducting the program. We have the plans to present scholarship awards for outstanding students who don’t need to prepare the SAT. The program equals the British A Level system allowing students to attend the first year of university in the UK,” said Aung Kyaw Hsan, an Education Advisor of Crown Education Learning Centre. The students who had passed the matriculation exam can apply for a program and they don’t need to choose their specialization subject while attending the training in Myanmar. Students will be suited to subjects like engineering, IT, business and life science by the end of the program.
