Mymensingh Municipality was selected for Asian Townscape Award and it was handed over me by Mr,Abdul kayum National Project Director of CDMP-2(Additional Secretery).The Award was selected by Jury board of UN HABITATT.The issue was stratigecal development of city.UN HABITATT select only 12 Municipalities in the Asia and Mymensingh Municipality is the one of them,they invite me as Mayor of the city to recieve the award in Japan but shortage of time it was not possible on my part.We are very much hopefull,the award will be milestone of our city development.
