Myself, 6yr old daughter, dad, and 2 friends, had a fathers day - TopicsExpress

Myself, 6yr old daughter, dad, and 2 friends, had a fathers day game this morning at 740am. We were in our carts and ready by 738ish. ahead was a group of 6, who just teed off, and were putting their clubs away, to make their way to the fairway. As we waited for them to go, the "little booth guy" dave i think, comes out of his golf course sheriff booth, and tells us to hurry up. I told "the booth guy", we waiting for the group ahead, he yelled at me! Said, "dont give any lip or your kicked off this course!" Without further incident, we teed off and proceeded with our game. We made it ALL the way to the 9th hole without incident. On the green with 1 shot left, the "little booth guy" is standing there with his hands on his hips sighing, and he looked flustered. I asked, something wrong, he storms up the green and yells, "ya i got a DAM problem, you guys are too slow" a few more, "unpleasantries" were shared, and the "sheriff" ran to his booth and told the manager "his side" My group, upset, picked up our balls without finishing, and went towards the "booth" We were met there by "the sheriff" and the manager. We explained in a calm matter, our side of the story, to which, the manager, didnt believe the ignorance of his employee, and told us, we can calm down and continue our round or leave. As "UNWELCOMED" as we felt, we requested our money back, which we got, and left. The manager, told me the average "foursome" of golfers takes 2HRS and 15mins, We were on the green at 2HRS and 35mins. We were harrassed and basically asked to leave over 20 MINS! Needless to say, our group and now, hopefully, many other groups, WILL NOT RETURN to the "lively golf and country club". P.S, as soon as we left there, we went directly across the street, to the "6th AVE golf and country club", and was a very beautiful course, and WE WILL BE RETURNING TO THAT COURSE! Had a wonderful time!
