Myzettes prayer below inspired me to write out my personal prayer for Bill. I hope that there is someone who might be willing/able to pray this over him as he enters hospice: Our Father who is in heaven-HOLY is your name. You alone have all power and you hold Bills life within your loving hands. You, God, are the one who has created Bill so uniquely and beautifully and you, alone, have given him the breath of life. We thank you for his time with us and how he has affected so many of us in such powerful ways. If it is your will, we know you can extend his time on earth. We ask for this! We ask for a miraculous physical healing and even more importantly, we ask for spiritual healing. We ALL need spiritual healing from the curse of sin (going our own way-away from You) and we know by your word that this is available through faith in your son, Jesus for while we were still sinners, Christ died for us! Thank you, that through Jesus Christ, we can know you and have eternal life with you in heaven. We pray for eternal life for our dear, sweet friend and we ask for his repentance, faith, peace, comfort and a sense of YOUR PRESENCE as we continue to entrust him into your faithful, loving care. We pray you will lead him to heaven at the proper time. Please help him to know that as much as he is loved by his many friends and family, YOU love so much more! It is in Jesus name and power we pray, amen.
