Mzee Raila Odinga over the weekend took his Okoa Kenya signature drive to the coastal region & the outcome was very worrying as few people took note of his rallies. In Garsen & Malindi rallies only a handful of people showed up & were akin to village barazas that contrasted his 2013 presidential rallies that were often attended by thousands of jubilant people. Mzee Raila & his brigade were an angry lot & they turned to issuing threats to CORD rebels who seem to be gaining ground rapidly at the coast. Only governor Kingi & area senator showed up at Mzee Railas Malindi rally. The other Kilifi County leaders skipped the rally & instead hosted a parallel rally that was attended by a passionate mammoth crowd. Earlier in the day vocal Nandi governor, Mr Lagat ditched the referendum quest & called for soberness among the plebiscite proponents. Okoa Kenya Initiative aka Pesa Mashinani is fast losing ground & Mzee Raila will have to use his long opposition politics experience to help it meet constitutional threshold.
