N. ADAMS PUBLIC LIBRARY IS DECLARING SEPT. AUTHOR MONTH North Adams, Thursday, 6 p.m. Thursday, is fiction author evening. Karen Shepard, the author of “Don’t I know you” and ”The Celestials” her latest historical novel about the Chinese workers brought in to work in the Sampson Shoe Factory here in North Adams. Joining her Andrea Barrett, national book award author of “The air we breathe”, “Ship Fever” and her latest “Archangel”, Charles O’Brien, author of several Anne Cartier mysteries will be rounding off our panel to talk about his latest, mystery set in Berkshire County , “Death of a Robber Baron”.
