N.H.S... UNBELIEVABLE....you just could not make this up if you tried!... Got all excited when the postman came after lunch with a letter from Orthopaedics with what at first looked like my hip replacement had been rescheduled for the the 5th August... however on closer examination it went on to say Day Surgery and that I could go home 2-3 hours after my operation!!! Now I know that the N.H.S is running short of funds and trying to cut costs but I think that is a bit too much cost cutting. Seriously though, now I am even wondering if after all the waiting, being shoved from one department to another and nobody in those departments talking to each other, changed appointments etc. etc. Do you really think I can really trust them to even replace the correct hip? Needless to say I will be phoning the hospital first thing Monday morning...Enough is enough :-(
