N U Wonder why POTUS unpopular? Obama Persecuting Christian Family, Has Them Deported Because Of Beliefs mrconservative/2014/03/35214-obama-persecuting-christian-family-has-them-deported-because-of-beliefs/ Sean Brown March 3, 2014 1:41pm PST Uwe and Hannelore Romeike wanted what just about every other immigrant who comes to America wants, to live in a country that allows them to freely practice their Christian beliefs so they can bestow them upon their children. So in 2008 they came to the United States in search of political asylum because they faced religious persecution from their government in Germany for homeschooling their children, however what they’ve experienced since they’ve been here is exactly what they fled from. Initially they were able to get the asylum they sought but Obama and his administration objected, claiming that Germany’s laws that ban homeschooling don’t equate to religious persecution and the reason they gave is chilling. (Read More: Ann Coulter: Republicans Preparing To “Sell Out” On Immigration Reform) In a legal brief about the case last year the Justice Department wrote that “The goal in Germany is for an open, pluralistic society,” speaking about its homeschooling policies, “Teaching tolerance to children of all backgrounds helps to develop the ability to interact as a fully functioning citizen in Germany.” In other words they feel that compulsory schooling is vital to children so that they can learn government sanctioned “tolerance” even if it’s against the religious beliefs of the children’s family. If the family had stayed in Germany where homeschooling is outlawed then they would have possibly lost their children if they refused to comply with the law. So like our ancestors of the past they fled the nation and headed to the land of freedom and opportunity in hopes that they could safely home school their children and practice their religious beliefs freely. Unfortunately for them, on Monday the Supreme Court declined their appeal and denied them the chance to stay here in America. The decision more than likely opened the door for them to be deported. The Home School Legal Defense Association has been representing the Romeikes since their asylum was retracted. The chairman, Michael Farris said that he thinks the decision is something more sinister. (Read More: Obama Orders Immigration Officials To Let Illegal Aliens Go) “I think this is a part of the Obama administration’s overall campaign to crush religious freedom in this country,” he said in an interview. “The Obama administration’s attitude toward religious freedom, particularly religious freedom for Christians is shocking.” Farris’s next comment was one that I’m sure resonates throughout the nation as we watch this administration continually deny Christians their rights, even forcing them to partake in the Affordable Care Act against their will. “I have little doubt that if this family had been of some other faith that the decision would have never been appealed in the first place. They would have let this family stay.” He said that he believes that the Obama administration’s deliberate religious bias is “palpable,” and that “It’s a denial of the essence of America.” “The Pilgrims left England to go to Holland to seek religious freedom. They came here to seek religious freedom and parental rights for their children. Had this administration been waiting at Plymouth Rock, they would’ve told the Pilgrims to go back home.”
