NAACP PRESS CONFERENCE TODAY Justice for Jonathan An Alliance of African American Groups is sponsoring a Press Conference seeking justice for the unjustified killing of An African American Veteran, Jonathan Mitchell. The Alliance demands an immediate determination from Bernalillo District Attorney Kari Brandenburg. The DA has had more than six months to review all reports and related documents provided by the Albuquerque Police Department that pertain to the Mitchell shooting incident. The Alliance firmly believes that DA Brandenburg should seriously consider at least involuntary manslaughter and child abuse charges. These charges will encompass the unjustified killing of Mr. Mitchell and address the father’s decision to bring along his teenage son to witness this unfortunate and traumatic incident.
