This woeful run of form has seen them slip down to 7th on the table and 10 points behind the leaders. They need to rediscover the early season winning form soon in order to keep up with the pace setters. United Redskins are also struggling to find form at the moment after claiming just a point from the last 3 games. The debutants have been impressive in patches but they need to find consistency and up the level of performance. Barak clash with Dimapur United in the second game at the DDSC Stadium on Wednesday. Barak come into the match looking for a third consecutive victory and a good result against their title rivals will put them in a good position as the battle for dominance at the top gathers pace. Dimapur United are also in fine form despite being held to a draw by Zonipang at the weekend. They are ahead of Barak by just 1 point and a victory on Wednesday will help open up the gap further and keep in touch with the front runners. Kohima Komets play Doyang in the first of the two matches at the IG Stadium in Kohima. They have earned 7 points from the last three outings which have helped them reclaim the second spot leaving them just 2 points behind leaders Veda FC with a game in hand. Another victory will put more pressure on Veda who play later on in the day. Doyang nailed their first victory of the season on Saturday against Dynamic FC. They will look to build on this fine result and start afresh with confidence after a difficult period. Veda returned to winning ways when they narrowly defeated United Redskins at the weekend. They will be keen to keep the good run going in front of a roaring home crowd when they take on a struggling Dynamic FC side. They are ahead of second placed Kohima Komets by three points with a healthy goal difference and another three pointer on Wednesday will help establish further dominance at the top of the table. Dynamic’s wretched run of form continued on Saturday when they went down by a lone goal against Doyang. They need to overcome this rough patch at the earliest and try to put in assured displays and grind out results when things are not going in their favor. Mokokchung will witness a high profile derby when Sangpang lock horns with Zonipang on Wednesday. Both the teams are in terrific form and are placed 5th and 6th on the table with just 2 points seperating them. Despite being humbled by Kohima Komets on Saturday, Sangpang have show their ability to compete against top sides on their day. Zonipang too have show amazing consistency winning 3 games and drawing three. Mokokchung can expect a cracking game of football when these two sides brimming with confidence meet as the battle for regional supremacy takes centerstage.
