NAILING THE ELEPHANTS COFFIN: THE WAY FORWARD. My latest book, - TopicsExpress

NAILING THE ELEPHANTS COFFIN: THE WAY FORWARD. My latest book, The Gruesome Murder of the Elephant sums it all up. The Elephant has been murdered by its own handlers. Soon after this, the philanthropist extraordinaire, President John Dramani Mahama was magnanimous enough to provide the coffin for the burial of the Elephant by announcing in his recent State of the Nation Address that free SHS is going to be introduced in 2015. Given that the free SHS policy is the only hope of the elephant family, there have been wailing and gnashing of teeth; they have pointed accusing fingers at JM that their campaign message has been stolen. That is debatable anyway, because my girlfriend Tundralina Akua Donkor claims it is her idea, and I believe her. The elephant people have met and come out with a campaign message for 2016 oo. Last week, one of them was on radio saying that they are coming out with a mind blowing campaign message. Kikikikiki, I know their latest campaign message oo. I sent someone to eavesdrop when they were planning. Hehehehe, you wanna Know? An antidote to this new plan of theirs would be the nailing of the Elephants coffin, and I want to donate the nails for the exercise. The new plan is to provide FREE JOBS. And what President Mahama should do is to create 1 million jobs a year From 2015. This should not be difficult at all. Going into any business, what one needs is capital, fortunately for us as a nation we have abundant fertile land that could form about 60% of the capital one needs for a lucrative agriculture venture. The 40% remaining capital which will be money should also not be a problem. I have alluded in my previous articles that our MMDAs are capable of funding major programmes in this country. I want to reiterate that most property owners in this country do not pay annual property rates, and majority of buildings do not have building permits. If JMs vision of having all streets named and houses numbered in this country is attained, an average of 5 million Ghana Cedis can be generated in each MMDA, and this could fund an agricultural programme that can create lucrative jobs for about ONE MILLION people annually nationwide! It is fantastic for my president, your president and our president, JM, to promote made-in-Ghana goods. I would also want him to launch another crusade to encourage the youth of this country to go into farming. I have a dream of an Educated Farmer concept where young graduates are encouraged to go into farming taking advantage of modern technology. Can you imagine an educated farmer in his farm with his tablet or ipad networking with other farmers globally on modern ways of farming, and arranging exchange programmes? Socket, ego be keke. Hehehehe, the leaders of the Unemployment Graduate Association (UGA) must see me in chambers. Who whistled tweaaa this is only good on paper? This is not only paper work oo. I am talking from practical experience. In 2010, my NGO did a pilot project for the youth of my district where employment was created for 200 young people. Each of them earned an average of GHC600 a month. An enhanced form of the project could generate an income of between GHC1,500 and GHC3,000 monthly; and few graduates will refuse jobs that can earn them GHC3,000 a month. If you think Im doing propaganda, please check this link: business.myjoyonline/pages/news/201010/54761.php So you see, with this plan, laa I laa I laa laa, the elephant people will have to change their campaign message again. Kikikikiki, if they promise FREE WIVES, we will also promise FREE HUSBANDS. Ajeiiiii, this be bumper to bumper. I have provided the nails, the babes with sharp teeth would have to do the carpentry work. Anthony Obeng Afrane.
