NAME: CATMONANON SAB AKO, INC. SEC Company Reg. No.: CN201326964 PURPOSE: In aide of Community’s NEEDS. FOCUS: School Children, Livelihood, and Agriculture. VISION: ABAG ESKUYLA (School Program). Our aim is to touch every child’s heart that they may be able to understand Love; emphasize Obedience, that they may become respectful; help them realize that in every tribulation there is hope and is a result of being Valiant; and enrich their mind with positive ideas that they may understand the importance of Education. ABAG KINABUHIAN (Livelihood Program). Livelihood programs through continuous learning, training, seminar, and workshop for out-of-school youth, farmers, professional, non-working members of the family… etc. to help them maximize their talents and productivity for self and family sustainability. ABAG AGRIKULTURA (Agriculture Progtram). Sow a Seed, Plant a Tree. If you have tried a vegetable garden, you know how amazing and satisfying it is to see the first seed sprout and grow. Imagine how much more amazing it would be to see those seeds sprouts and grow up to provide food, nutrition, jobs, training and hope for a malnourished and desperate poor families. It is our vision to provide seeds, seedlings, tools, education, and other farming implements to help our struggling families in the community. This will help create opportunities for the children and families… farming projects will strengthen our community, bringing life and hope to desolate lands. MISSION: WHO WE ARE: A non-profit non-government group of Catmonanons living in all corners of the world, the desire to help the needs of our Community is one common goal. We started extending help to our school children by providing them school supplies through our ABAG ESKUYLA Program, specifically through Pagsangkap sa Tulunghaan Project, slippers through our TSENILAS Project, rain boots for the Teachers through our BOTAS sa Magtutudlo Project, and feeding through our BUSOG sa Kanunay Project since 2012. PASKO sa Kabataan, a Christmas activity for school kids’ is a yearly activity geared towards uplifting their spirit and interest in education, is also a part of our ABAG ESKUYLA Program. At present the group has 6 major projects under the umbrella of ABAG ESKUYLA Program, 5 are on going projects and 1 is under development, namely: 1. PAGSANGKAP sa Tulunghaan (School Supplies Project) – Tools for Success. We know some families in our Hometown have difficulty sending their children to school, much more with adequate school supplies. Through this project we provide education essentials like pencils, crayons, and other supplies donated by people and groups who look forward of helping these kids to have more access for a brighter future. We distributes donated school supplies at the beginning of the school year and year-round to low income families in the community of Catmon, Cebu. 2. BUSOG sa Kanunay (Feeding Project) – We are trying to visit all schools in our municipality within a year, and in every visit we integrated our feeding project as part of the Abag Eskuyla Program along with two others, the Tsenilas and Botas Projects. For now, due to limited funding we can only feed the kids during our Abag Eskuyla sorties, this is not an everyday activity. However, we are praying that we can do more to provide these kids with nutritional foods as often as possible. 3. TSENILAS sa Kabataan (Slippers Project) – Most students in our municipality belong to a poor family, families living below poverty line and can hardly afford the basic necessities of life existence. Everyday they go to school with barefoot, though they are used to this lifestyle, CSA, Inc. through the request of some of the teachers and parents were providing these children with slippers and will continue to do so if we can. 4. BOTAS sa Magtutudlo (Rain Boots Project) – Some Teachers serving Schools located in the mountain baranggays were recipients of a new rain boots. It is our mission to provide all Teachers within a year. Rain Boots will be used during rainy days were mud and or wet dirt is common in non-concreted walkways of an underdeveloped school premises. 5. PASKO Sa Kabataan (Christmas for School Kids Project) - a yearly Christmas Activity for Catmon School Students mainly focused to show off their talents, skills, and interests, and also serves as awareness activity of our culture, the environment, and other prevalent matters that we may find will serve the purpose of helping our community. 6. ARKIBO Edukasyon (Archive for Education Project) - A storage for donated old school materials, such as old school books, old calculators, old t-squares, old school uniforms, etc., which can still be useful to junior students. Mechanics: a. Students will be allowed to borrow school materials for a week or two. b. Borrowed materials should be returned on a specified date in the same condition as when it was taken out from the archive. c. Borrowed materials broken in the course of use of the student will be noted promptly, damage assessed, and concerned student will be interviewed, if found the damage is due to recklessness, will be made to pay the corresponding amount or will do community service. In addition to the above ABAG Eskuyla Program are: 7. ABAG AGRIKULTURA (Agriculture Program) - Agriculture is defined as the cultivation of animals, plants, fungi and other life forms for food, fiber, and other products used to sustain life. In the hope to encourage our fellow Catmonanons to plant fruit bearing trees, vegetables and other crops to help sustain and alleviate their standard of living, CSA Inc. wish to introduce a Plant Nursery this year. In order also to help our farmers maximize their harvest and provide adequate supply to the consumers at a minimal cost, CSA, Inc. has outlined the following measures: A. Provide lectures and hands on trainings on the latest technology on organic farming, instruction about crop production, livestock management, soil and water conservation, and various other aspects of agriculture. B. Harvest Project: Encourage farmers to sell their products directly to the public through CSA, Inc. farm stands and other direct marketing channels. 8. ABAG KINABUHIAN (Livelihood Program) - Hope for Tomorrow. CSA, Inc. is aiming to provide training in viable skills for young people and the jobless. Classes in woodworking, sewing, mechanics, handicrafts, clothing repair, home building, driving, etc.. These skills provide income and self-reliance, allowing the needy to thrive and even help others.
