NAME: Elson Ray A. Deleña SCHEDULE: Wednesday 5:30-7:00 SECTION: BEED III-A September 9, 2013 a date to remember, when all we thought it is a just a normal day. A devastating news that pup out on the television, text messages was flooding in my cellular phone and news hearing from our neighbors that allegedly members of the MNLF was attacking Zamboanga city. We all got vigilant that it might reach in our community but we got relief hearing from the news that the military has cordoned that area. For the rest of the month during the crisis we are severely affected by the situation because it affect us emotionally, financially and psychologically. Emotionally because lives have been taken away, civilians and soldiers got wounded, houses got burn, and news came that women got rape hope that is not true. I am in deep struggle in my heart that knowing those rebels who tries to only hang their flag in the city and now doing immoral things that causes not only physical damages but also emotional damages (trauma).My burden got even worst when the news anchor mentioned that there are more that 200 innocent civilians that has been put into hostage by the rebels and even using them as a human shield. People who are affected by the crisis evacuated from their home without even knowing that their houses are now turned into ashes because of those rebels. Now I pitied those people who live in the evacuation center I wonder what would I feel if I put my feet on their shoe right now. Lets be thankful that despite of the problem, struggles, difficulties we have faced God never leave us. I believe we survive cause The living God protected Zamboanga city. The crisis we experienced has a bigger purpose and I am excited to that to know what is that purpose. Lets continue to pray for Zamboanga. REVIVAL WILL COME INTO PAST and this city will become a JESUS city. Before I end this message let me leave you a quotation from the scripture it is from Joshua Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them - joshua 1:6, we must stay strong people of Zamboanga!!
