NAME THAT ANIMAL PLEEEEZE! I have a mystery going on in my home. Im hoping it will be solved. Meanwhile maybe you can provide suggestions. For about 3 weeks my dog Izzy has been crazy smelling around the dishwasher and space between it and the dishwasher. Nothing has been disturbed at night. No little mouse or larger droppings. Bread untouched also two huge sunflowers on counter Im planting in fall untouched.. 3 weeks at least. Night before last I had a large tomato in the windowsill directly above THE diahwasher. The sill is about 1 foot above the countertop. There is a wire basket that something could use to get up but it would walk over bread to get to the tomato. I found a 3 inch deep and wide hole in the tomato yesterday morning. With slit teeth marks. What would leave bread for 3 weeks and eat a tomato? So last night I put flour on the countertop and a banana on the sill. Thought I could see tracks. Well this morning, the flour is totally messed up and banana GONE! The whole shabang gone! No discernible tracks and again no droppings. Weird weirdest ever! So, tonight Im putting a folded tablecloth upside down with the white felt bottom up on the counter. Another piece of fruit on the sill and enough food dye on tablecloth that it will leave tracks. I am also calling animal control for a trap because I would prefer it to live outside. Fruits expensive. So please name this animal. Any suggestions appreciated.
